New developments of Shih Tzu breeding, especially in health and behavioral methods, are followed  on a regular basis   to keep the edge       on my breeding program which result in healthier and well-adjusted dogs. My special goals are  in   helping with the elimination of the             genetic disease of Juvenile Renal Failure (JRD) in the Shih Tzu breed through     conscientious DNA testing and selective breeding.

The puppies are handled from birth  every day which makes for an easy transition from my home to the new owners environment.                          Buyers are encouraged to visit me before the puppy purchase to get to know the  me, the puppies and parents which also
gives me the  chance to evaluate the future home of my Shih Tzu. I reserve the right to refuse a sale of any puppy of mine to anyone.

New owners are invited to contact me with any questions they have in regard to their puppies.
My help will be available through the   lifetime of the Shih Tzu.

We have made great efforts  towards eliminating the dreaded gene, which causes Juvenile Renal Dysplasia (JRD) which affects around 97% of the total breed population. JRD affects puppies and causes premature death in many. Great diligence, patience, time,
and  money has guided us in the right direction. Clear Shih Tzu breeding stock is anticipated in the near future.

I am dedicated to breeding the best possible Shih Tzu emphasizing TEMPERAMENT, HEALTH AND CONFORMATION.
Great care is given to extensive socialization and to create the best possible pets for my customers.

Please be advised, when purchasing your next shihTzu puppy, ask to see the JRD test results on the parents.
The names on the  test results should be the same name on  your registration papers
A breeder that is  proud, will  be more than happy to show  you their test scores.
Every test has an assigned number for  each  individual dog. This number belongs to this dog, and only this dog.
You can easily verify the test results and dogs  registered name, through DoGenes with this assigned number
Our goal here at Donnas Darling ShihTzu is to soon be 100 % JRD clear
We are making every effort,  with our conscientious and selective breedings to make this possible
